Gillian retired in 2019 after a career as a librarian for the Co-operative Union (now Co-operatives UK), the Co-operative College and the Co-operative Heritage Trust. Her working life involved the history and development of the co-operative movement, most recently as Librarian of the National Co-operative Archive. Gillian became involved with the UKSCS in the mid-1990s, using editorial skills gained at the Co-operative Union in her role as Deputy Editor (Production) of the Journal of Co-operative Studies. She is a chartered librarian, qualified archivist and Fellow of the 91´ô¸ç of Indexers.
